FOL

Here's to:
Jumping into a load of responsibilities, watching over a group of Freshman and wanting them to have the best experience possible at Foundations of Leadership conference before school starts.

Realizing that those tasks were possible with many prayers and trust as everything was happening in the blink of an eye.

Teaming up together as "Team 12." aka "Team Gryffindor/Basketball" and the huddles we did at each game station before each obstacle.

Strategizing different obstacles at "the Ropes Course" (even though we didn't use the actual ropes course.)

 Sunburns

The dance party with the freshman, which caused whiplash and fatigue, and also to the dance party at 2 AM just for the peer mentors at the ampitheater.

Searching for star-gazers

Answering new students' questions about Byu

Learning things can be done and handled much more easily with good friends around.

Watching my friend Abe try on the vest (video here.)

Little sleep. A table full of kneaders pastries, chips, snacks, and fresh fruit to eat throughout the night.

Here's to meeting some of the most fun, kind, outrageous college students I have met and want to keep in contact with.

The quotes and inside jokes that will be remembered while laughing up storms in our group

Having a feeling-like-crap-kind-of-morning--tired, aggitated, and sick of the disgusting tasting, voice-sucking, and time-consuming Tobi--and then hearing the simple sentences from a paralized man say in a devotional right after breakfast that morning: "It is important to breathe every day and night." and "Being a champion is being your best; sometimes it will bring gold medals, or sometimes it just brings the ability to breathe," reminding me the importance of Tobi and treatments, and how they are simply helping me breathe in the long run.

Seeing a raccoon in a trashcan stare up at people for hours.

Feeling the spirit as testimonies were strengthened

Writing our obstacles in our lives that may prevent us from accomplishing our lifelong goals on one side of a board, and then our biggest desires on the other side, then kuh-raw-tay choppin the wood, breaking the side with our obstacles "so we could get to our goals."

Building up courage and strength as a group to become better leaders in this world as we will continue learning at BYU
